About F2P Performance

Who is F2P

F2P is a facility that primarily trains both male and female high school and collegiate athletes who are serious about improving their performance. We train athletes that compete in almost every sport, both individual and team. Our athletes compete in sports as varied as hockey, tennis, golf, football or lacrosse. We focus on improving an individual’s overall athletic ability for their given sport by training them to be more efficient and faster in all aspects of their game. We also train adults who compete in competitive athletics as well as those who are looking to improve their general fitness level.

Facility

F2P has been located in Edina, MN for over 6 years at 7375 Washington Ave S (previously operating under the name Explosive Edge Athletics). The 3,000 square foot warehouse facility encompasses a training area, a weight lifting mezzanine, and our meeting space. The training area is fully turfed with ceiling heights of over 25 feet allowing for athletes to run, jump, and work on your sport specific movements. The area has specialized timing equipment, a sand pit, and other sport specific pieces of equipment to assist in your training. The mezzanine level is a more traditional weight lifting area with free weights and select pieces of equipment to enhance your strength training. We also have office space and room to hold classes and consulting sessions. Please note we do not have regular locker rooms or shower facilities, but we do have private areas to change.

When is a good time to get started?

The best time to get started is NOW. Our philosophy centers around teaching proper positioning and movement which means results can be seen quickly. The skills learned are immediately applicable to practice or any other setting outside of F2P.

How often do I need to come? What is the time commitment?

Training consistently is key to your development as an athlete. At F2P we look at the individual’s situation to determine the optimal number of training days. For the majority of our athletes, we recommend between 2-4 days of off-season training. Please note, at F2P we highly recommend a commitment to in-season training as well. In season training is tailored for each individual athlete to continue to optimize their performance during the season, as well as assess any changes to movement patterns that could lead to injury. Typically we recommend 1-2 days a week during the season.

Free Assessment

The one-hour assessment allows us to evaluate how your body is programmed to move. We will then begin to identify changes required to optimize your performance on the field of competition. The assessment is a “one on one” opportunity for athletes and parents to better understand the philosophies of F2P and strategize a plan of action to achieve the athlete’s goals.

Come prepared to move and learn for approximately 40 minutes followed by a sit down consultation including a question and answer discussion. Together with the athlete and parents, we can decide if a training partnership is right for you. Please call Nick at 952-746-9003 or email nick@f2pperformance.com to schedule a consult.
